Zooming using Firefox

This is such a small point that it hardly seems to warrant a post but I have found that a lot of Firefox users are unaware of one of its most useful tools, the zoom function.

I use it all the time to increase the size of text but it also does a very good job of resizing images on a page.

Most of the images on this site are 450 pixels wide which is not huge but the quality is good enough that zooming in a little doesn’t degrade them too much.

Easiest way to zoom is control and + or control and – . I’ll leave you to work out which combination makes stuff bigger and which smaller.

So now you know. A am not sure whether this works with recent versions of Internet Exploder or not, it doesn’t work with 6 or older. By the way, if you are using IE anything please change to Firefox, you will be happier and live a longer and more fulfilling life.
