Inhofe – idiotic or the most idiotic?
This from the great man’s own website:
“I cannot believe what I heard today,” Senator Inhofe said in a You Tube video posted from Afghanistan. “President Obama is disarming America. Never before has a president so ravaged the military at a time of war.”
“Here in Afghanistan, our brave troops continue to fight while their President guts our military. Our sons and daughters are risking their lives fighting an enemy whose sole purpose is the destruction of our country and our way of life, while their President disarms America. And all this to support his welfare state.
“The brunt of this decision will be felt by our men and women in uniform right here in Afghanistan. At a time when the Obama administration has put forth a budget to disarm America, Congress cannot, and must not simply go along. Congressman Tom Cole and I will work with the House and Senate Armed Services Committees to stop these cuts.”
A couple of things:
Obama is going to increase military spending by a few billion so Inhofe is lying. Nothing new there.
I actually wish that he wasn’t, I would much rather see the money go into Education.
Inhofe was slamming US policy from foreign soil. Republican’s all but yell treason if a Democrat gives anything other than gushing praise for the US when abroad (or at home for that matter).
There is something very wrong if a craven, self serving, truth avoiding idiot like Inhofe can become one of the 100 most powerful legislators in the country – surely we can do better than this.
Don’t even get me started on the idiot senator’s self serving pronouncements on global warming.

Well, I may owe Inhofe an apology as it seems obvious that he gets his information from the Traditional Media you know, the ones that bellittle bloggers every chance they get. Jon Stewart does a great job of highlighting various cable bobbleheads all but having babies at what Obama is irresponsibly doing to the military. Of course the fact that Obama is doing no more than moving some spending and increasing the overall total won’t deter these intrepid media people from doing what they do best, i.e. lie. [...]
