Young Conservative Hip Hop – not a parody

This is not a parody, it is serious, it is hilariious, it was released 3 days ago and it is the funniest start that I’ve has to a weekend for a long long time. Everyone needs to watch and listen to this, it is BS in it’s purest form and I want to personally shake the hands of the people who convinced this pair to do this- they must have really struggled to keep a straight face.

Nothing funnier than young conservatives trying to be hip. It is hard to find words to describe this but here goes: It is a conservative rap by a couple of young males who go by the collective name of Stiltz & Serious C. I presume the C stands for conservative.

In this short video, sneering rappers from the young conservative movement bust rhymes about drilling in Alaska, forcing women to bear foetuses to term, eliminating social programs and merging Church and State. Lines include: “Three things taught me conservative love: Jesus, Ronald Reagan, plus Atlas Shrugged;” and “Everyone can succeed because our soldiers bleed.”

Here is a page where the dynamic duo exsplain there philosophy. This is almost as funny as the video. My favorite paragraph is this one:

The inaccurate manifestations of conservatism cloud the real mettle in its core. Flawed politicians lay on both sides of the political spectrum, however, real conservatives such as Ronald Reagan, Martin Luther King Jr., and arguably Jesus are the flag-bearers of the true conservative movement. The time for a new generation of conservative leaders to rise to the challenge of a failing economy has arrived once more.

MLK flagbearer of the conservative movement- who would have thunk. The arguably Jesus thing just leaves me confused. Surely if Jesus has a different political philosophy to theirs then, by their own lyrics, they are obliged to follow Jesus’s. Ah well, the minds of young conservatives – murky places at best.
