Banality of the Teabaggers; Max Blumenthal
I am probably the last person to see this video where Max Blumenthal interviews the terminally stupid at the 9.12 Teabag Rally (Promoters Glen Beck and Fox News)
The format is very simple, Max asks a question, usually based on a sign that the interviewee is holding, the interviewee answers then Max follows up with a question that makes the interviewee look really stupid.
The difference between this video and the countless other ones doing the rounds is that the seething hatred isn’t the focus here but rather the banality of the bagger’s stupidity. Watch this and it is hard to loathe these people – they are to be pitied. On more than one occasion I wanted to reach through time and the monitor and say to some confused souls “It’s going to be OK, you are not going to be rounded up and sent to an internment camp, America is still going to be here for many tears to come.
Max Blumenthal covers the 9.12 anti-Obama rally on the National Mall, where tens of thousands of teabaggers demonstrated their opposition to healthcare reform
Watch out for the guy who talks about compulsory English language then is asked to show his sign. Not quite a “Moran” moment but I’m surprised it hasn’t had wider coverage.
