Peter Hoekstra R-MI Politicizes Attack

Peter Hoekstra wasted no time in using the failed Christmas Day plane incident to attack the Obama administration.

Hoekstra rushed to get on the record with this statement:

People have got to start connecting the dots here and maybe this is the thing that will connect the dots for the Obama administration

Despite the fact that he hadn’t been briefed – still when does that stop a modern Republican from shooting his or her mouth off? Someone must have had a quiet word in the Dutchman’s ear as, about an hour later he Tweeted his concern for the wellbeing of those involved.

Here is what Hoekstra put on Twitter:

Administration say attempted terrorist attack. No it was a terrorist attack! Just not as successful as they (AQ) planned

Amazing how much can be known without any sort of a briefing.Also interesting that the ever classy Hoekstra Tweeted this a little earlier:

So security is really important other than when it inconveniences him. This statement is particularly bizarre in light of the recent gatecrashing incident.

Hoekstra has a long record of putting political gain above truth and country. When Speaker Pelosi attacked the CIA for misleading Congress (which they patently did) Hoekstra was shocked and outraged. The fact that he had previously leveled exactly the same accusation didn’t bother him in the slightest.
