Charles Krauthammer – The Idiot’s Intellectual

The opening paragraphs set the tone perfectly:

Always remember, when you find the stomach to read Charles Krauthammer, that he views every issue through the lens of “is it good to help Israel withstand American pressure?” He’s a Canadian who came down here because some ambitious Canadians view the USA as the big time, was a Walter Mondale liberal (Mondale’s speechwriter) and then switched to the right because he correctly discerned that the Democrats were a tad less hard line on Israel.

He has no real politics other than Middle Eastern politics. But, in order to maintain his bona fides with his new allies on the right, pretends to be down with them on all their whacked out issues. He’s faking but, since he has more brain power than most other rightwing mouthpieces, they welcome him even if they don’t trust him. But they are his allies in his war against all Muslims and you take friends where you find them.

I trust that the “more brain power” is purely relative as one of life’s greatest mysteries is the fact that Krauthammer is often tagged as an intellectual. Only in the USA could a person who’s reasoning is so laughably sloppy and so full of holes be considered such.

For an added bonus here is Krauthammer in action pontificating on Obama’s bow and Pacific president remark. This is the Krauthammer logic at work. Sworn enemy shows respect to another leader, refers to himself as something completely non controversial (if a little trite). From this Krauthammer makes the leap to sworn enemy is a narcissist. Now if you are reading this you probably know that the word narcissist, along with it’s cousin arrogant, are teabag for black but it doesn’t take away from the point that this idiot cannot be considered an intellectual by any definition.
