I see you’re having fun, go for it!
Would it be possible for you to dig up the files of the old MillerCommunityFund.org web site and send them to me please? The domain expired last year and the site’s been down forever and people a complaining to me now. I have rescued the domain, and we can host the site here at Vinzant Software. If you can get me the files it would be a stupendous help and you would have my undying gratitude.

your rant has very little to do with my post but here goes anyway:

You cannot pretend that the response to Katrina was good. Close to 2,000 people died, many due to the abysmally poor response and at the end of the day the buck stops on the presidents desk.

Remember, the whole of America watched Katrina unfold, in realtime. Shep Smith did a superb job of covering the awful response on Fox News – hardly the Liberal media.

You can rely on people’s lack of knowledge to push your agenda on many issues but Katrina is not one of them.

You should study up on Katrina.

Why was there no similar woe in Alabama next door, which suffered far more devastation than New Orleans?

Why were Red Cross vans carrying supplies turned back from New Orleans?

Why did the mayor think it would be illegal to commandeer all those school buses and simply drive the people in the Superdome to safety?

Why didn’t the local government realize that a large number of people were collecting in the Convention Center?

Why did it turn out there were only a couple of deaths in the Dome, about what you’d expect for a crowd that size over a couple of days?

Why was the amazingly successful Coast Guard rescue effort not better reported?

Why didn’t the press report on the fact that, in a disaster like this, local government is the first responder and the Feds (FEMA) are only expected to show up after four days or so?

Why did the local government perform so poorly?

Why are all those houses built 20 feet below the lake level?

Why didn’t the Louisiana governor agree to a Federal takeover of the disaster?

Why was Brown thrown under the bus when he was actually doing a good job (according to people on site) coordinating the disorganized resources he found when he got to Louisiana?

Why do you attribute any deficiencies in the necessarily bureaucratic Federal government response to the “GOP”? It would not have made any difference who was in the White House.

Why is this still being used as partisan fodder after all these years? You think the “GOP” was responsible for the deteriorated levees?
