Teabagger Dale Roberts Practising Non Racism

this is Dale Roberts. Self described president and founder of the Tea Party (or is it Tea Party party?).

Teabagger Dale Roberts Practising Non Racism

And here is his web site, teaparty.org

Teabagger Dale Roberts Practising Non Racism

Remind me again why we should take these racist, willfully uninformed, idiots seriously? Mainstream media – do you have any answers?

Update: More here with some great comments

Teabaggers to Stage Die-In

looks like the fox News Channel schedule is set for tomorrow – expect lots of footage of teabaggers pretending to die (TPM) for their freedom to protect the health insurance industry and the drug companies.

 Teabaggers to Stage Die In

From the same TPM article:

“We know it’s a sacrifice to do this right before Christmas,” Meckler writes. “But throughout history American Patriots have made far greater sacrifices than this to protect our liberty. Now the burden (and the honor) falls on us.”

Big freaking sacrifice!

Why is it that these people always talk like a low budget history Channel reenactment? I thought it was us Brits that were meant to be the pompous ones. It also completely beats me how impeding Senators from passing health care reform, helps their fight for this undefined freedom thing that they are always banging on about.. As to why they put there efforts into supporting the health insurance industry and the anti competitive legislation that underpins it, that is anyone’s guess.

Breitbart Wrong Again

Breitbart thinks Anarchist’s Cookbook was published in 1990. Interesting seeing as it’s purpose was to protest Viet Nam

This is fun. Spotted on buffoon Andrew Brietbart’s blog:

Speaking from Los Angeles, Mr. Breitbart, who runs the Web sites Big Government and Big Hollywood and is planning ones called Big Journalism and Big Education, said his book will be kind of like that charming bit of 1990s samizdat known as The Anarchist’s Cookbook, except with “metaphorical explosions” instead of actual ones.

from:
‘Thinking Big’: Breitbart Signs Book Deal With Hachette/Grand Central

The Anarchist’s Cookbook was first published in 1971. I understand that looking stuff up is hard work but this really does not bode well for the ex Drudge assistant’s upcoming magnus opus.

Saying that, I don’t believe for one moment that fact checking is at the top of Breitbart’s list of priorities. Like the rest of the right Wing Nut Job brothers of Victimhood he would much rather start with the conclusion and work backwards- either leaving out or changing the facts that do not support said conclusion.

Hilarious Teabagger Trailer

This via John Aravosis Americablog

This is an actual trailer for a new documentary about the Teabaggers. This isn’t a joke. It’s an actual serious documentary taking the Teabaggers seriously. The trailer is bizarre. These people are insane. And dangerous.

Here is the trailer:

What’s in a Name?

Yesterday, I wrote an opinion piece for another blog and I came up against an unexpected problem:

Throughout history their have been political groups and parties and factions within those larger bodies. These factions, as far as I can tell, have always had a name that wasn’t or couldn’t be interpreted as a pejorative, in short a name that was bland enough to use in polite company. This doesn’t actually apply with regard to the Teabaggers – no suitable name has yet been put forward.

I am not setting up a punchline here, I am being serious. This blog is my home, here I can belch, fart, put my feet on the furniture, generally kick back and not worry to much about what the neighbors will think. In this specific case that means using terms like Teabagger, bagger, right wing nut jobs, wingnuts, birthers, Palinites 9/12ers and some others with abandon or at least without to much agonizing.
