Joe Leiberman; An Odd Little Man
That title, believe it or not is carefully chosen. Leiberman is odd, he seems to revel in being a completely selfish individual to a level that dives into sociopathy. He is also little, little in the sense of small minded and completely incapable of self sacrifice, however minor the sacrifice to himself and however big the gain for the rest of humanity.
Of course Leiberman is playing god with 1,000s of peoples lives who are dependant on a strong health care reform bill that will finally neuter the insurance industry. Why is he doing this – because he can. That is it, no noble motive, no greater good – Joe commits the biggest crime of public office – he does stuff because he can.

MSNBC conflict of interest web article
MSNBC writer just happens to use Comcast as example of company wronged by Twitter
Here is a post on the Big Money section of the MSNBC web site. which claims to be about companies that make the best use of Twitter. It rambles on for a bit about how they chose 12 companies to focus on setting up an expectation of graphs and numbers and other such wonkish delights.
The numbers never really appear but eventually we get a section on Twitters recommended user function, where Twitter are, in effect, giving their seal of approval to certain accounts and the apparently arbitrary nature of the whole process. OK, the writer may have a point, addition to the list can literally make a seven figure difference in the amount of followers that a company or individual will garner. Still pretty wonkish stuff.
But then we get to this:

Christian Twitter – More Snake Oil
Please Make It Stop Dept.
On the surface this appears to be yet another Twitter story – I promise that it isn’t, Twitter is pretty incidental in this tale.
Apparently according to this site this guy, James Paris was suspended from Twitter for writing an article in praise of Rush Limbaugh.
Two things:
1) How exactly does one post an article on Twitter – maximum number of characters 140.
2) The right wing nut jobs aka the Teabaggers post absolutely vile things on Twitter every day and still seem to be around the day after. Believe me a Twitter suspension has to be earned – they don’t just hand those things out.

Twitter Users Crash Wingnut Session
Twitter Users Crash Wingnut Organizing Session
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/11/18/805566/-Twitterers-Crash-Teaparty-Organizing-Session
ConnecticutMan1 emailed me an unlikely and highly entertaining article posted by Warranted Wiretaps. They have obtained an exclusive mp3 file of a conference call put together by “the national liberty movement” to improve the quality of right wing blogs.
Unfortunately for them, their call was crashed by a group of twittering humorists.
The audio file and more detail is here:
http://wiretaps.typepad.com/warranted_wiretaps/2009/11/teaparty-activist-organizing-call-20091117.html
Would recommend reading both the linked posts as there are lots of interesting details re the wingnut organisating issues and possible strategies – fascinating insight:
According to Warranted Wiretaps, Michael Johns, an architect of Bush’s “Medicare Reform” Giveaway to private insurance and pharmaceutical companies and an early proponent of the Reagan Doctrine, helped to organize the conference call. The call was meant to attract participants to a new ultra-rightwing website, http://73wire.com.
From the Daily Kos post linked above.
