Time for Harry Reid to Step Down

The time has come for Harry Reid to give up his position as Senate Majority Leader. His insipid and weak performance to date would be enough to justify his resignation but that is not the the primary reason for this call. The primary reason is his massive conflict of interests. Even by normal senate standards Reid is compromised to the point where he has to act against the best interests of both the party and the American electorate.

Harry is up for a very tough reelection battle in his home state of Nevada this cycle. To win this battle he is going to need an abundance of cash and goodwill. Here is the particular swamp that Reid tops up his campaign war chest from: These lists are based on 2005 – 2010 amounts.

Harold Ford Jr All Opportunism no Substance

This is a great compilation video of Ford’s best anti Democrat moments. Please distribute widely. Harold Ford Jr was an anti choice, anti gay DINO and generally anti Democrat in Tennessee but Ford doesn’t have convictions other than do what is best for Ford so expect some, lets say, softening of those positions. We must do everything we can to nip this candidacy in the bud but it is really up to the people of New York.

Harold Ford Jr is no Daniel Patrick Moynihan

Pleased to seethat others have as much disdain for Harold Ford Jr as do I.

The Author takes this quote from Ford:

In the spirit of the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who once held this Senate seat, I hope we all will welcome a debate about who’s best to work for New York.

Harold Ford Jr to Run for US Senate NY?

More Here

A challenger for Kirsten Gillibrand, Hillary Clinton’s replacement in the US Senate, would normally be welcome news. She may be a good fundraiser but as far as her actual job is concerned she is all but anonymous. Strong rumor has it that Harold Ford Jr. is considering mounting a primary challenge. This must be opposed at all costs. Harold Ford must not be allowed to enter the senate as a Democrat. He makes the Conservadems such as Bahy, Lincoln and Prior look like Trotskyites and his party loyalty runs as deep as Leiberman’s. Ford is all about Ford.

Senator Dodd not Seeking re-Election

Yesterday it was Byron Dorgan today it is Chris Dodd (Dem CT) who will almost certainly announce his retirement from the Senate. Whereas Dorgan will represent a genuine loss Dodd – not so much. His resignation increases the chances of a Democratic hold enormously and he was always on the side of the banks – they were his real base. He made some noises over the years that appealed to the Liberal wing of the party but the impression was always one of expediency and never of real commitment.
